Great for the city – but is it enough for a weekend away?
VinFast VF 3 in Poland?
The VinFast VF 3 is an absurdly cheap electric mini-SUV – in Vietnam it is priced at around 300 million VND, roughly 50,000 PLN with the battery. Like an iPhone on wheels? But will it be cheaper here than a small Suzuki?
In Poland it is expected to cost between 60,000 and 80,000 PLN. Is this a joke? No – seriously. Rivals like the Mini Aceman (around 180,000 PLN, up to 405 km of range, 49.2 kWh battery, 218 HP) play in a different league, while the VF 3 is more of a pocket-sized city toy.
Small, but clever?
Power? A modest 32 kW (around 44 HP) and 110 Nm of torque – enough to launch off the lights. 0-100 km/h acceleration? Nobody has published it – take it easy. The 18.6 kWh battery offers a NEDC range of 210 km, in reality only about 150 km, which is plenty for a shopping trip and back.
Rivals on standby
Mini Aceman – 218 HP, 49.2 kWh battery, up to 405 km of range – price about 179,900 PLN.
MGS5 EV – up to 480 km of range (62 kWh), 231 HP, but already from 168,900 PLN in Poland.
Next to them, the VF 3 looks like a cheap alternative, yet it costs almost half as much.
Charging and real range
Charging from 10 to 70% in 36 minutes – sounds great! But the 210 km NEDC range is so beautiful that it grew on its own. In reality? 120–150 km. Is that enough for a weekend trip out of town? No, unless you love charging stations more than mountains or lakes and plan to visit them as the main attraction.
User verdict
Reality? Honestly… tight. The range readout is wrong, the infotainment freezes, the hinge rattles, the rear seats make luggage impossible – this is more of a toy than a serious competitor. As one user put it: “The declared range is marketing, the real one is a shadow theatre” (reddit.com).
Summary
The VinFast VF 3 is a kind of “budget 4 wheels on electricity”. It costs around 60,000–80,000 PLN here, has a tiny 18.6 kWh battery, a real-world range of up to 150 km and 32 kW of power.
Rivals can do more, offer more range and cost twice as much. But does the VF 3 make sense? Perfect for the city. For longer trips? Not really.
