The new Twingo is urban‑style e‑mobility, but does the price kill the deal?
Returning at PLN 85,000
The new Renault Twingo E‑Tech Electric enters the Polish market priced below €20,000 (about PLN 85,000). A Ferrari? No, it's an iPhone on wheels for the city – accessible, without blowing the budget.
Retro design and range
Twingo measures just 3.79 m, and its WLTP range is 263 km – perfect for a Warsaw–Piaseczno round trip. It's an absurdly clever blend of nostalgia and technology.
Urban power and speed
80‑82 hp (60 kW) and 175 Nm of torque. 0–100 km/h in 12.1 s, top speed 130 km/h. Does that make sense? In the city – absolutely.
Charging and options
Standard: 6.6 kW AC charger. Optional Advanced Charge for €500 adds 11 kW AC, 50 kW DC (10–80 % in 30 min) and V2L/V2G – never before so affordable and clever!
Competition? Well…
Fiat 500e Electric – pricier and less practical. Dacia Spring? A different story – shorter range and less nostalgia. Twingo beats them on price and style.
The new Twingo – Renault's third retro EV after the R5 and R4 – was unveiled on 6 November 2025 and is produced in Slovenia. Its platform is AmpR Small developed by Ampere, and the LFP batteries are supplied by CATL.
Power + acceleration + drive: 60 kW / 82 hp, 175 Nm. 0–100 km/h in 12.1 s, top speed 130 km/h – all tuned for the urban jungle. The 27.5 kWh LFP battery delivers up to 263 km WLTP and absurdly efficient consumption of 10‑10.5 kWh/100 km.
Standard 6.6 kW AC. For €500 the Advanced Charge option adds 11 kW AC, 50 kW DC (10–80 % in 30 min), V2L and V2G – convenience and future‑proofing in one package.
And the price?
From €19,490 (PLN 85,000), the top‑spec Techno at €21,090 – all under €20,000 (before subsidies). Fiat 500e is pricier, Dacia Spring less spacious – Twingo is the budget urban romantic's choice.
