Kia EV4: A Korean manifesto against the SUV dictatorship
The Kia EV4 is a low, aerodynamic electric sedan (or fastback) with up to 81.4 kWh battery, up to 625 km WLTP range and 204 hp front-wheel drive. Prices from PLN 173,900.
Tesla Model 3 and Volkswagen ID.4 in Poland 2026: prices from PLN 162,790 to PLN 269,390, WLTP range up to 716 km and 0–100 km/h in as little as 3.1 s. Comparison of trims, specs and used market prices.

Last week I tried to park a Tesla Model 3 in front of my house – a neighbour asked if it was the next Batmobile. No, it's a new, absurdly fast, elegant electric car. And more expensive than more than a few rounds of marriage counselling.
No point pretending – the Tesla Model 3 in Poland 2026 is no longer a cheap toy. According to the OTOEV price list, the cheapest Highland is PLN 184,990, the Long Range RWD is priced at PLN 204,900, the AWD Long Range at PLN 214,990, and the Performance – the cosmic PLN 244,990. Add VAT, dealer fees, options and terrible weather and you're looking at a seriously big bill – in złoty.
Model 3 RWD with 283 HP, WLTP range of 550 km, 0–100 km/h in 6.1 s – that's no longer science fiction. Long Range AWD – 440 HP, 716 km WLTP range, 0–100 in 4.4 s. And Performance? 460 HP, 571 km WLTP, 0–100 in 3.1 s – faster than the latest rumour-driven scandal.
But this is no joke – these are numbers that make sporty petrol cars look like nuns after a solid dose of lemon balm.
If the Tesla is a rocket, the ID.4 is at least an SUV that doesn't try to impersonate a fighter jet. The cheapest Pure Performance costs PLN 162,790, Pro Performance PLN 220,390, Pro 4MOTION PLN 230,390, and GTX – PLN 269,390. For those who prefer the used market – AutoUncle lists ID.4 Pure Plus 52 kWh at around PLN 158,060 and Pro Plus 77 kWh at PLN 210–219,630, which beats crying over new-car prices – and it's still an EV.
In Poland, Tesla and ID.4 dominate like smog over Krakow. There's no worthy rival in sight – maybe the Polestar 2 or Hyundai Ioniq 5, but they're not in the same league of showbiz and excitement.
First: these prices are ridiculously high – but remember, the entire electric world is an expensive sport right now. Even in Poland, nobody's handing out discounts.
Second: the Tesla Model 3 is like an Aston Martin in a "you don't have to refuel" version, and the ID.4 is a Volkswagen Golf that slimmed down, grew biceps and switched to electricity.
Finally: if you think an electric car this year will be cheaper than a decent pizza in central Warsaw – keep living in your fantasies. These cars are expensive, fast, absurd… and damn addictive. Not because of the price, because of the thrills.
If you buy a Tesla Model 3 Performance or a Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, it's not because it's the rational choice – it's because you're willing to pay for the pleasure. And pleasure knows no limits.
The Tesla Model 3 is sportier, with better performance and a higher price, while the Volkswagen ID.4 is an SUV that offers more space and comfort, but is not as fast as the Model 3.
If you're looking for an electric car that delivers unforgettable thrills and you aren't afraid of high prices, then yes. It's a car that blends modernity with performance.
Tesla Model 3 maintenance costs can be lower than those of traditional combustion cars, but you need to factor in charging costs and any repairs, which can be expensive due to the specifics of EVs.
