Xiaomi's YU7 is gaining the upper hand in global deliveries, a development that also matters for electric cars in Poland. The company shipped its highest-ever monthly volume of the YU7 in November, underscoring growing consumer interest in electric SUVs. This is a relevant signal for Polish buyers and dealers preparing for the e-mobility shift.

According to the China Passenger Car Association, Xiaomi delivered 46,249 cars in November and a cumulative 361,625 electric vehicles from January through November 2025. The monthly figure represents a 4.94% drop from October — the first month-on-month correction since July.

The top seller was the YU7, launched in June, with 33,729 deliveries in November — slightly above October and a new monthly record for the SUV. The YU7's gains came at the expense of the SU7 sedan, which posted 12,520 deliveries in November, down 16.49% month on month.

The SU7 is logging its fourth consecutive monthly decline in deliveries. Yet on a January–November basis, the SU7 still leads with 247,041 units, versus 114,584 for the YU7. These trends reflect market preferences: buyers increasingly gravitate toward SUVs and practical everyday models.

What does this mean for the Polish market?

If Xiaomi decides to scale up its dealer network in Poland, the YU7's popularity could translate into concrete shifts in demand for electric cars in Poland. Polish buyers pay close attention to EV range, service availability, and charging options — especially given the growing network of Orlen Charge stations, GreenWay locations, and Ionity points.

Equally important for buyers will be charging infrastructure readiness and dealer offerings: battery warranties, AC and DC charging options, and integration with operator apps. National programs such as Mój Elektryk and NFOŚiGW financing instruments shape the availability of subsidies and consumer decisions, and could accelerate the adoption of new brands and models.

Legal and homologation aspects also matter

Vehicles must meet EU homologation requirements, technical inspection rules, and safety standards applicable in Poland. For fleets and businesses using tax incentives and solutions, depreciation rules and accounting practices tied to electric vehicles will also be relevant.

What to check before buying an imported model such as the YU7 or SU7? Verify real-world EV range in winter conditions, service availability in Poland, compatibility with local charging standards, and public-charging costs. The rising role of SUVs in the EV segment points to greater demand for parking spaces with charging and for urban charging infrastructure.

Wrapping up

YU7's record deliveries show that manufacturers are focusing on electric SUVs, and these trends could shape the offering on the Polish e-mobility market. Polish consumers and fleet operators should track model availability, service conditions, and subsidy options when planning an electric vehicle purchase.
