Fully electric versions of the Mercedes GLB with EQ technology have arrived in Polish showrooms. Below we summarise the model's dimensions, range, performance, charging capability and Polish pricing – alongside a direct comparison with key competitors.
Dimensions and interior space – more than a mini-SUV
The new Mercedes-Benz GLB with EQ technology is nearly 10 cm longer than its predecessor. Exact figures are 4.73 m in length, 1.86 m in width and a 2.89 m wheelbase. The result is a more flexible cabin, accommodating a foldable seven-seat bench that slides by up to 14 cm, plus more legroom and headroom. WLTP range reaches up to 631 km.
Two powertrain variants
Two versions are available: the rear-wheel-drive GLB 250+ with 272 hp (0–100 km/h in 7.4 s) and the GLB 350 4MATIC with all-wheel drive, 354 hp and a 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 s. Both variants use the same 85 kWh battery and support DC fast charging at up to 320 kW. According to the manufacturer, 10 minutes at an ultra-fast charger adds roughly 260 km of range.
Pricing in Poland
In Poland, the GLB 250+ with EQ technology starts at PLN 248,400, while the GLB 350 4MATIC starts at PLN 262,400.
Technology and practicality
The vehicle is built on an 800 V architecture and supports DC charging up to 320 kW. An optional converter enables charging at 400 V stations (DC converter for around PLN 2,900). The car also offers a 127-litre frunk and a braked towing capacity of up to 2 tonnes.
This is not a gadget for the rich with a green conscience. It is an EV that wins the race for practicality, range and zero compromises.
Expert comment
I am not a fan of electric inventions. I like roaring engines, the smell of petrol and noise. But this GLB? It says: “Cover long distances, rely on technology rather than stamina, and keep the kids, bikes, tent, dog and the whole pharmacy right beside you.”
Wrap-up
The Mercedes GLB EQ is aimed at buyers looking for an electric SUV that combines range, interior space and real-world charging capability – at a price point that still sits within the premium segment.
