Mahindra is expanding its electric lineup with the XEV 9S, built on the "INGLO" platform. Following the strong success of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, the new model enters the market as a seven-seater, priced from 1.995 million rupees (about €19,250) to 2.945 million rupees (about €29,400). Electric vehicles are gaining popularity, as reflected in Mahindra's strategy.
Power and range
Mahindra offers three powertrain variants: a base version with a 170 kW motor and a 59 kWh battery, a mid version with 180 kW and 70 kWh, and a top version with 210 kW and 79 kWh. Each delivers an impressive range – from 521 km in the base to 679 km in the top variant.
Modern technology
The XEV 9S is a technological showcase. It comes with an AR-HUD, a 12.3-inch passenger display, 5G connectivity and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos. It also adds wireless chargers and advanced safety systems such as Level 2+ ADAS.
Driving experience
The XEV 9S is not only about power, but also about the driving experience. Thanks to a variable steering ratio and semi-active suspension, the model stands out in its class. Speed enthusiasts will appreciate 0–100 km/h in just 7 seconds and a top speed of 202 km/h.
Ambitious plans
Mahindra is already accepting orders for the XEV 9S from 14 January, with deliveries starting on the 23rd of the same month. After the success of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which sold more than 30,000 units in seven months, the company is investing as much as 65 billion rupees in the development of new models.
