A new, fully electric version of the iconic Nissan MICRA will go on sale at the end of 2025. It is the sixth generation of this popular city car, now returning as a modern electric vehicle that combines innovative technology, stylish design, and functionality tailored to the needs of drivers in Europe.

An electric car with long range and fast charging

The new Nissan MICRA offers a fully electric powertrain and two battery options: 40 kWh (range up to 310 km) and 52 kWh (range up to 408 km). Thanks to DC fast charging at up to 100 kW, the car can be charged from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes. This makes the MICRA equally well suited to everyday city driving and weekend trips out of town.

Interestingly, the new Nissan MICRA is equipped with a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function, meaning its battery can power external devices – from speakers and laptops to camping equipment. This makes it a great travel companion, even off the asphalt.

A design that catches the eye

The new MICRA was designed by Nissan Design Europe in London. Its SUV-inspired styling gives it a muscular character. It is also distinguished by LED lighting with a dynamic welcome effect, 18-inch wheels, and as many as 14 body color variants, including fashionable two-tone versions. This is an electric city car with personality!

A noteworthy styling detail is the subtle stamping on the side of the body, called the "ice cream scoop" mark, which runs along the entire body and emphasizes the window line. It is one of the details that sets the MICRA apart from the competition.

Interior: comfort and technology

Inside the cabin you will find two 10.1-inch screens: one serving as the digital instrument cluster and the other housing the NissanConnect infotainment system with Google Maps and Google Assistant. Upholstery is available in three design variants, and the ambient lighting offers as many as 48 colors.

Inspired by Japanese heritage, the designers placed a subtle image of Mount Fuji in the storage compartment between the seats – a nod to aesthetics and precision.

Driving pleasure and assistance systems

Despite a weight of 1400–1524 kg, the MICRA drives dynamically thanks to a low center of gravity and a multi-link suspension – a solution typical of higher-segment vehicles. The driver can choose between four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Perso. The car also offers one-pedal driving (e-Pedal) and regenerative braking.

Safety features include the ProPILOT Assist system, adaptive cruise control, blind spot sensors, and lane keep assist. This makes the Nissan MICRA electric car suitable not only for city driving but also for longer journeys.

MICRA – an electric car for the modern age

The new Nissan MICRA is more than just another electric city car. It is a vehicle that blends tradition with modernity, offering drivers practicality, style, and the pleasure of zero-emission driving. With rich equipment, interesting technological solutions, and a striking appearance, it could become one of the highlights of electrification on the European market.

Sales in Europe begin at the end of 2025. The MICRA will be one of four new electric cars that Nissan plans to launch as part of its electromobility transformation strategy.
