The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
That is the point of this entry: not the performance, but the fact that anyone in this class quoted a sum at all. The price fell from 250,000 euros announced in January 2026 to 195,000 in April — but the April announcement does not repeat the 20 percent buyback guarantee or the 600,000 kilometre warranty, and no source confirms whether those terms survived the cut. A dual identity: Belgian headquarters, Chinese engineering and production. No importer in Poland.
Strengths
- The only announced European list price in this class.
Weaknesses
- The EUR 195,000 price applies to orders of up to 100 units and is not a confirmed transaction price, so it does not describe a typical purchase.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
195,000 EUR · 180,000 USD
Confidence: Medium
Manufacturer-announced European list price, cut to EUR 195,000 on 23 April 2026 for orders of up to 100 units (GBP 139,000 net UK, USD 180,000 ex state tax US). This replaces the EUR 250,000 launch price announced 3 January 2026, which was bundled with a 20% guaranteed buyback and a 600,000 km warranty — the April announcement does not restate those terms, so it is not established whether they survived the cut. Listed, not transacted: no Windrose transaction price was found, and no Windrose presence in Poland was found at all.

Polish availability not established
No Polish importer, dealer or delivery announced. Windrose sells across 'Europe, the UK and Ireland' from its Antwerp base with named customers in Spain (CEVA), and DSV and Kuehne+Nagel as partners, so Poland is plausibly in scope but is not confirmed. Treat as unknown rather than available.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
DUAL IDENTITY - this is the key fact about Windrose. Founded 2022, headquartered in Belgium with its European flagship site 'Windrose Park Antwerp' on the Noorderlaan, but the chassis, e-axles, batteries and suspension are manufactured in China, and the company is routinely described in the trade press as a Chinese OEM. It is therefore claimed by both the Asia and US/Europe views of this market. NAMING: the truck launched as the R700 and was renamed the Global E700 when the supply chain was unified to give roughly 80-85 % common parts between the China, US and Europe versions - R700 and Global E700 are the same vehicle. BATTERY CONFLICT: press consistently reports 729 kWh for generation 1/2, while Windrose's own site now lists '705+ kWh, 870 V' for E700 Generation 2 - both are recorded, the press figure used as headline. Cells are LFP from CALB. Four motors, 1,400 hp peak (converted to 1,044 kW here); drag coefficient 0.2755; centre-driver cab layout for Europe. Homologated in the US, EU and China. Delivery timeline: H1 2026 from China-built imports, Belgian assembly from H2 2026, a EUR 175 M French plant from 2027, plus a planned Georgia (US) assembly facility. Order book reported at 100+ trucks, about one fifth US-bound. Generation 3 'Mega 960' is announced for 2028 with 940 kWh, 970 V, 960 km range and a 1,045 kW peak e-axle - a different model, not merged here.
