Volvo Trucks FH Electric
460 kWh usable, 470 km and a permitted 65 tonnes of combination weight — the second-generation FH Electric was announced in April 2026, and it invalidates the older figures.

The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
First-generation numbers still circulate publicly — 300 km and 44 tonnes — and they are simply out of date. The jump to 65 tonnes of permitted combination weight counts for more here than the range itself, because it opens applications where an electric previously failed at the outset. Volvo has delivered electric trucks to Polish fleets but publishes no price list.
Strengths
- A permitted 65 tonnes of combination weight opens applications closed to the first generation.
Weaknesses
- The current 470 km belongs to the second generation, while the first generation reached 300 km, so FH Electric covers two different profiles.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
Volvo Trucks publishes no list price for its trucks. Reuters (3 Sep 2024) reported the European heavy electric truck segment as a whole priced at roughly EUR 250,000-400,000, i.e. a segment range, not a Volvo FH Electric list price. Polish buyers can draw on NFOSiGW / national zero-emission HGV support, which both Volvo Trucks Polska and Renault Trucks Polska promote.

Available in Poland
Sold by Volvo Trucks Polska; listed on volvotrucks.pl under 'Elektryczne samochody ciezarowe'. Volvo has delivered electric trucks in Poland since 2022 (IKEA Industry), Lidl Polska took a multi-model electric delivery in Sept 2023, and the first electric FH tractor unit in Poland was handed over in April 2025 (reported by elektromobilni.pl).

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
Two generations exist under the same name. Gen 1 (series production from autumn 2022): 540 kWh gross, up to 300 km, 250 kW CCS, 490 kW continuous / 666 kW peak, GCW 44 t. Gen 2 (announced 14 Apr 2026, order books 15 Jun 2026, production from early Sep 2026): same 360-540 kWh (4-6 packs) but a new dual-motor driveline with an 8-speed gearbox, up to 470 km, 350 kW CCS and GCW up to 65 t. The figures in this record are the current (gen 2) manufacturer spec table. Volvo's spec table lists 'Performance: 300, 350, 400, 470 & 540 kW' without saying whether these are continuous or peak; the April 2026 press release calls 540 kW 'power output (731 hp)'. Recorded as motorPowerKwPeak with motorPowerKwCont left null rather than guessing. Torque is not published for gen 2. Payload 23.8 t is Volvo's figure for the 4x2 tractor. Battery chemistry is not published by Volvo.
