The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

Battery and weight figures differ between generations and regions, so these numbers need confirming for a specific configuration before ordering. The manufacturer quotes no range, and rightly — a yard tractor is measured by shift autonomy. Terberg sells across Europe through distributors, but no Polish dealer could be identified.

Strengths

  • A 310 kWh battery, 90 t GCW and 150 kW charging give the heavy terminal tractor a complete profile.

Weaknesses

  • Battery capacity varies between 96, 144, 222 and 310 kWh by generation, so the YT203EV name covers different configurations.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No list price published; terminal tractors are quoted per configuration.

Poland

Polish availability not established

No named Polish dealer found, but Terberg sells terminal tractors across Europe through a distributor network and has European port and logistics-hub customers; a Polish buyer would go through Terberg Special Vehicles or a regional distributor.

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.

This vehicle charges at up to 150 kW DC — the chargers below are matched to that figure.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

USE CASE: yard / terminal tractor (shunter), as flagged in the brief. CONFLICTING BATTERY AND WEIGHT FIGURES ACROSS GENERATIONS AND REGIONS: the original YT203-EV was offered with 2x48 = 96 kWh standard, 3x48 = 144 kWh optional, and combinations up to 222 kWh; the enhanced model shown at TOC Europe in Hamburg on 19-21 May 2026 moves to a 310 kWh LFP system with a 155 kWh alternative. Terberg's European page quotes GCW 50-90 t depending on axle ratio and conditions; Terberg Taylor Americas quotes 65-105 t. I have recorded the current European top figures (310 kWh, 90 t). Fifth-wheel lift capacity up to 36,000 kg; front axle 11 t and rear axle 38 t at 20 km/h; Terberg Connect telematics standard. In May 2026 Terberg also launched a next-generation YT201EV. Motor power is not published anywhere I could reach. Recent deployments: TraPac Los Angeles (Feb 2025), Port of Helsingborg, Portonave Brazil (30 units).
