The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

180 kW continuous / 240 kW peak motor power and dual-gun CCS2 charging up to 260 kW add up to as much as 30 hours of operation on one charge — one overnight charge covers several shifts with no midday plug-in and no public charging infrastructure needed. This, however, is the version built at Terberg's Pasir Gudang plant in Malaysia for "East and South" markets — the European counterpart is a different model, the YT203EV, built in the Netherlands. Terberg Tractors Polska has been the brand's official Polish importer since September 2024, but whether the YT201EV specifically, rather than the YT203EV, will make it into that lineup remains unconfirmed. Over 250 orders were secured before the May 2026 launch, still with no published price.

Strengths

  • 30 hours of operation on one charge covers multiple shifts without touching public charging infrastructure.

Weaknesses

  • Terberg has not confirmed whether the YT201EV, rather than the European YT203EV, will reach the Polish importer's lineup.

Measurement basis
Not applicable - range is not the metric for a terminal tractor. Terberg publishes operating time instead: up to 30 hours on one charge depending on battery configuration and operating conditions, i.e. multiple shifts. Two battery options, 155 kWh or 310 kWh LFP; the 310 kWh pack is recorded as the headline.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No published price. Terberg sells through regional distributors (Terberg KCL in APAC, Paterson Simons in West Africa, Terberg Taylor Americas in North America, Terberg Tractors Polska in Poland) and quotes per configuration. The only public commercial figure is the order book: over 250 units secured ahead of the May 2026 launch.

Poland

Polish availability not established

Terberg Tractors Polska sp. z o.o. (Warsaw, co-located with Terberg Matec Polska) has been the sole official Terberg importer, dealer and service provider for Poland since September 2024, so the brand is genuinely present. The YT201EV specifically, however, is built at Terberg's Pasir Gudang plant in Malaysia and is described by Terberg as designed 'for East and South global markets'; the European model is the YT203EV, built at Benschop in the Netherlands. Whether Terberg Tractors Polska will list the YT201EV is not published - marked unknown rather than guessed.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

Terberg's next-generation electric 4x2 terminal tractor, launched 5 May 2026 in Malaysia and shown at TOC Europe in Hamburg (19-21 May 2026), with broader availability from later summer 2026. Built at Terberg's Pasir Gudang plant in Malaysia and aimed at 'East and South' global markets; the Netherlands-built YT203EV (already in this catalogue) remains the European/North American model and was itself upgraded to LFP in the same announcement, with production at Benschop (NL) and Columbus, Mississippi (US). The specification is unusually well published for a terminal tractor: Terberg TZ445XS synchronous traction motor, 180 kW rated / 240 kW peak, no gearbox; 155 or 310 kWh LFP; CCS2 at up to 260 kW via two 130 kW guns; up to 30 h of operating time on the large pack. Over 250 orders were secured before launch. GCW is not published for the YT201EV. For scale, the sibling YT203EV is rated 50-90 t GCW depending on axle ratio and conditions, and the diesel YT193/YT223 are 75 t and 90 t; do not assume the YT201EV matches any of them - recorded as null. Why this vehicle matters editorially: a terminal tractor is frequently a logistics operator's first electric vehicle because it never leaves the site, charges where it parks and needs no public infrastructure. The 30-hour operating claim is the specification that makes that argument - it means a single overnight or opportunity charge covers multiple shifts.
