The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

Range grew from 600 km to 660 km in June 2026 by widening the battery window, not by fitting heavier cells. Eight packs give 780 kWh gross and a mass a haulier subtracts from payload — on long-haul that can still add up, in distribution it does not. Orderable, with deliveries from the start of 2027.

Strengths

  • 660 km places it near the top of this database for range.

Weaknesses

  • 780 kWh gross is mass subtracted from payload.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

The range-oriented member of the new e-axle E-Tech T family and the Renault-badged sibling of the Volvo FH Aero Electric with extended range. 8 L-shaped NCA packs of 97.5 kWh = 780 kWh gross; usable was 624 kWh at launch and was raised to approx. 741 kWh (about 95% of gross) on 30 Jun 2026, lifting range from 600 to 660 km and adding roughly 10% to charging times. Two electric motors and the transmission are grouped in the rear e-axle; peak output 460 kW. electrive reports payload 22.4 t and tractor weight approx. 12 t in 42 t GCW markets, 4.1 m wheelbase, steerable and liftable tag axle. Renault publishes no GCW for this variant (the Volvo sibling is 48 t), so gcwKg is null. NCA chemistry is stated by Renault but is outside the schema's chemistry enum. Warranty: standard cut to 6 years / 720,000 km in June 2026, extendable to 10 years / 1 million km with the Serenity Pack. CONFLICT: Renault quotes MCS at 720 kW while Volvo quotes 700 kW for the same hardware; each brand's own figure is used in its own record.
