The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
Renault raised the claimed range from 460 km to 500 km without changing the battery, by widening the cells' working window — a real gain, but at the cost of the margin that previously protected longevity. MCS charging at 720 kW is announced, so infrastructure will be a condition here, not an extra. Deliveries from the start of 2027.
Strengths
- A 500 km range and 720 kW MCS combine useful energy reserve with fast en-route replenishment.
Weaknesses
- Pre-production — deliveries only from 2027.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
The payload-oriented member of the new e-axle E-Tech T family: 6 L-shaped NCA packs of 97.5 kWh = 585 kWh gross. Renault publishes payload 'up to 28 tonnes, in accordance with local regulations' and electrive reports 23.8 t payload / 13.2 t tractor weight in 42 t GCW markets and a 3.6 m wheelbase. Renault has not published a GCW figure for this variant, so gcwKg is null; the mechanically equivalent Volvo FH Aero Electric with extended range is rated at 48 t. Usable energy is not published by Renault; the Volvo sibling with the same 585 kWh gross pack is quoted at 545 kWh usable. Battery chemistry is NCA per Renault's press release, which is not one of the schema's chemistry values, so the field is left null. Announced at Solutrans, Lyon, 18-20 Nov 2025; orderable immediately; built at Bourg-en-Bresse; deliveries from early 2027. Range raised from 460 to 500 km on 30 Jun 2026 by widening the usable battery window to about 95%.
