The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

Peterbilt writes outright of 375 usable kWh rather than installed — an editorial detail that is rare in this database and makes comparison markedly easier. Class 7 at a permitted 14,969 kg is typical urban and regional distribution. Orders open, no price.

Strengths

  • Capacity quoted as usable rather than installed.

Weaknesses

  • Production is scheduled for 2026, but without a confirmed delivery the 537EV remains pre-production.

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No published MSRP; too new for an HVIP catalogue entry at time of research.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

Announced 9 December 2025. Class 7, GVWR 33,000 lb (14,969 kg). Two high-voltage battery options 'up to 375 usable kWh' - Peterbilt's own wording confirms PACCAR quotes usable, not gross. Up to 605 hp and 1,850 lb-ft (2,508 Nm), equivalent to 450 kW peak on Kenworth's version of the same PACCAR ePowertrain. Front axle 13,200-14,000 lb, rear 19,000 lb. ePTO 25 and 150 kW. Applications: regional haul, utility and service bodies. Production scheduled for 2026; status left as pre-production because no delivery confirmation was found.
