The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
This vehicle lives on as the Iveco S-eWay: assembly was agreed in February 2020, the joint venture's plant opened that September, and after the buyout Iveco took the design over entirely. A European price was never announced. We found no verified photograph of a Nikola-badged unit.
Strengths
- A 635 kWh usable battery and up to 530 km of range gave the European Tre a complete heavy-tractor configuration.
Weaknesses
- The European Nikola version was withdrawn and renamed Iveco Heavy Duty BEV, so the Tre name no longer has its own production path.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No European list price was published before the brand was withdrawn.
Poland
Not available in Poland
No Polish sales channel was ever established; the European Nikola brand was withdrawn in 2023.

Recommended chargers
Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 350 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

IMAGE GAP: I could not find a verified direct-file URL for a Nikola-badged European Tre BEV. Timeline: assembly agreed for Ulm in Feb 2020, JV plant inaugurated Sept 2021, European order books opened at IAA Sept 2022. Iveco bought out Nikola's share of the JV in May 2023 and renamed it EVCO; the truck was relaunched in July 2023 as the 'Iveco Heavy Duty BEV' and then folded into the S-eWay range. Separately, Nikola's US Tre BEV production stopped after a battery-pack thermal event triggered a voluntary recall in Q3 2023 - zero Tre BEVs were produced in the first nine months of 2024 versus 96 in the same period of 2023 (Nikola 10-Q). The European Nikola-branded Tre BEV is therefore discontinued; the vehicle survives only as the Iveco S-eWay Artic NMC.
