The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
This is the fullest illustration of the risk in this class: the hardware was good — 350 kW charging, 481 kW continuous, 531 km of range — and the company filed for bankruptcy anyway, with the Coolidge plant bought by a passenger-car maker. The same design lives on in Europe as the Iveco S-eWay. Buyers were left without service.
Strengths
- A 531 km range and 350 kW CCS charging give the Tre BEV a complete numerical specification for regional work.
Weaknesses
- The maker is bankrupt — buyers were left without service.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No reliable public list price found. The Tre BEV was sold through dealers with California HVIP and New York NYTVIP vouchers doing most of the work on net cost, but the MSRP was not published and the model is no longer HVIP-listed. UNKNOWN is the honest answer.
Poland
Not available in Poland
n/a - never offered in PL and the manufacturer no longer exists.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
COMPANY STATUS: Nikola Corporation filed for Chapter 11 in the District of Delaware on 19 February 2025. Assets were sold under a Section 363 auction: Lucid Group acquired the Coolidge, Arizona plant, the Coolidge and Phoenix HQ leases and certain machinery, equipment and inventory for about USD 30M (closed 21 April 2025), expressly EXCLUDING Nikola's business, customer base and hydrogen fuel cell technology; Midwest Infrastructure Partners bought Nikola's 20% stake in Wabash Valley Resources for USD 1M. Lucid offered jobs to 300+ former Nikola staff. Nikola's own workforce was subsequently reported down to a single employee. There is no successor building the Tre. PRODUCT HISTORY: series production of the Tre BEV began 21 March 2022 at Coolidge, Arizona (the truck is an Iveco S-Way-derived cab-over, a product of the former Nikola-Iveco joint venture). Production was paused in 2023 with inventory unsold. In August 2023, after two fires at the Phoenix HQ traced to a coolant leak from a single supplier component inside the battery pack, all 209 delivered Tre BEVs were recalled and sales were halted indefinitely. SPECS: 733 kWh, 330 miles, twin e-motor axle rated 645 hp continuous (recorded as 481 kW) with peak reported as 'north of 1,000 hp' - the peak is not a firm manufacturer number so it is left null. Peak wheel torque quoted as over 33,000 lb-ft, which is an axle output figure, not motor torque, so torqueNm is left null. 82,000 lb GCWR. Battery chemistry never confirmed publicly.
