Mercedes-Benz Trucks eArocs 400

414 kWh and up to 240 km as a construction tipper — the eArocs 400 is a heavy 8x4 chassis, not a tractor.

The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

Mercedes quotes 200 km for a mixer and 240 km for a tipper separately, which is uncommon candour: the body eats energy and the manufacturer says so. The driveline uses a central motor with planetary axles rather than the eActros e-axle — a different design for different loads. Sales were planned from the first quarter of 2026.

Strengths

  • Range quoted separately for a mixer and for a tipper.

Weaknesses

  • 240 km applies to the tipper, while the mixer has 200 km, so one figure does not describe both construction applications.

Manufacturer: up to 200 km as a concrete mixer and up to 240 km as a construction tipper, without intermediate charging. Headline 240 km is the tipper figure; the mixer figure is 200 km. Mercedes notes typical single-shift duty averages under 100 km/day on paved roads.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No public list price. Start of sales was planned for Q1 2026 with first deliveries Q3 2026; no dealer or fleet price was found during research.

Poland

Polish availability not established

Not confirmed. Mercedes-Benz Trucks planned a small series of about 150 vehicles per year for 'selected EU30 markets'; the selected markets were not named, so Polish availability is unverified.

Charging infrastructure

Recommended chargers

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.

This vehicle charges at up to 400 kW DC — the chargers below are matched to that figure.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

Included because it is a battery-electric N3 heavy rigid from Daimler Truck, even though it was not on the original target list. World premiere at bauma Munich, 7-13 April 2025. Shares the eActros 600 front box, PTO and LFP battery technology (two packs, 414 kWh installed, in a battery tower directly behind the cab), 800 V on-board system, CCS2 up to 400 kW. UNLIKE the eActros it does NOT use the integrated e-axle: it has a central motor with a three-speed transmission driving the Arocs' proven planetary axles, so ground clearance and off-road capability are retained. The electric powertrain is integrated by the Paul Group (Vilshofen) into vehicles built at Woerth. Continuous 380 kW / peak 450 kW - lower than the eActros 600's 400/600 kW. Available as 32 t and 41 t 8x4 with four wheelbases, bodied as a concrete mixer or construction tipper. gvwKg 41,000 is the higher of the two ratings; the 32 t variant is the other. Mercedes claims it is at least 50 % more energy-efficient than a comparable diesel. Planned volume: small series of about 150 vehicles/year for selected EU30 markets. Start of sales Q1 2026, first delivery Q3 2026 (as announced in April 2025). Whether sales and deliveries actually opened on schedule was NOT verified during this research (research date August 2026), hence productionStatus 'pre-production' rather than 'in-production'. Image gap: Daimler released only four usable eArocs 400 press images and none is a clean side, front or rear shot - all four are three-quarter views. Worth revisiting once a fuller press kit exists.
