The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
The 500 km is quoted for a 4x2 tractor at 40 tonnes and 20 degrees — friendly conditions, but not fantasy ones, and they finally describe work rather than a presentation. The announced 1000 kW of MCS charging runs ahead of today's infrastructure, but 400 kW over CCS works now. The only European price established comes from a German dealer's advertisement for a demonstrator, not from a price list.
Strengths
- 400 kW over CCS works today, without waiting for MCS.
Weaknesses
- The roughly 1 MW MCS system is currently preparation for later retrofit rather than an operating standard on every vehicle.

- CCS2 up to 400 kW via the standard socket on the left behind the cab (a second socket on the right is optional); 10-80 % in approx. 70 min with three battery packs (mfr). Megawatt charging (MCS, ~1 MW, 20-80 % in ~30 min) is announced for the ProCabin long-haul version; MCS pre-installation is available, the connector/components are to be retrofitted once MCS hardware exists.

- Manufacturer: 500 km on one charge without intermediate charging, 4x2 semitrailer tractor at 40 t gross combination weight, 20 degC ambient. Mercedes also quotes up to 560 km in the most economical long-haul combination and over 1,000 km per day with a top-up during the legally mandated driver break.

269,500 EUR
Confidence: Low
Mercedes-Benz Trucks publishes no list price. Figure recorded here is derived: German MB Trucks dealer Kestenholz listed a 4x2 tractor demonstrator (first registration 04/2025, 2,001 km) at EUR 320,705 gross incl. 19 % VAT, i.e. approx. EUR 269,500 net - a demonstrator asking price, not a new-vehicle list price. Conflicting public figures: German trade press puts the entry price at roughly EUR 250,000-260,000 and quotes Daimler saying the e-truck costs two to two-and-a-half times a comparable diesel; an Irish EV aggregator quotes EUR 390,000 incl. 23 % VAT (approx. EUR 317,000 net) minus a EUR 50,000 ZEHDV/SEAI grant, but that same page carries specs that contradict Mercedes (360 kW charging, 3,600 Nm) so treat it as unreliable; Polish trade press (elektromobilni.pl) estimates EUR 500,000-600,000, which is far above every other source and probably covers a bodied/leased package. Spread across sources is roughly EUR 260k-320k net.

Available in Poland
Yes. Mercedes-Benz Trucks Polska markets the eActros 600 on its Polish site (mercedes-benz-trucks.com/pl/pl/trucks/eactros.html) and it is orderable through the Polish MB Trucks dealer/service network. In service in Poland: Lidl Polska runs an eActros 600 with an eCool Drive battery-powered refrigeration body out of the Blonie distribution centre on Warsaw store routes (leased via Halo Rental System, operated by Prema Transporteur); Lidl Polska plans roughly a dozen more e-trucks plus 6 depot chargers in the following year. Raben and DB Schenker are the other named Polish operators of heavy e-trucks, though the source does not confirm those are eActros 600.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
eActros LongHaul was the pre-production/development name for this exact vehicle, not a separate model - recorded here as a note rather than its own record. Daimler announced it in 2021/2022 as a 40 t truck with 'around 500 km on one battery charge' and megawatt charging, series-ready in 2024; the production truck was revealed as the eActros 600 in October 2023, series production started at Woerth at the end of 2024, and it was named International Truck of the Year 2025. No separate customer spec, price or production status ever existed under the LongHaul name. Architecture: 800 V, integrated Mercedes e-axle with two motors and a four-speed transmission, three 207 kWh LFP packs (CATL cells, no nickel or cobalt). Mercedes states over 95 % of installed capacity is usable but publishes no usable-kWh figure - that implies roughly 590 kWh; batteryUsableKwh is left null rather than derived. Variants folded into this record rather than split out: 4x2 semitrailer tractor (the headline vehicle); 4x2 platform chassis with 4,000 / 5,500 / 5,800 mm wheelbases; 6x2 platform chassis with 4,000 / 4,500 / 4,600 / 4,900 / 5,200 / 5,800 mm wheelbases. 'eActros 600 L' is not a model name - the L refers to the L-cab (2.30 m wide, 170 mm lower entry) which can be specified in place of the 2.50 m ProCabin; with the L-cab and only two packs the tractor is effectively an eActros 400. An eActros 600 Lowliner 4x2 tractor (4,000 mm wheelbase, low coupling height for mega-trailers, ~500 km range) was announced for order from Q3 2026 with series production Q2 2027. GCW: 44 t is the maximum permissible gross combination weight; the 500 km range claim is quoted at 40 t. ProCabin cuts the drag coefficient by 9 % versus the current Actros. In operation in more than 15 European countries as of 2025.
