The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

It is a clean illustration of how fast this class matured: 448 kWh gross from 2021 gave 400 km, while 414 kWh on the 600 platform gives 480 km. 160 kW charging aged this vehicle faster than its battery did. Out of production since 2025.

Strengths

  • A 388 kWh usable battery gives up to 400 km of range with 160 kW CCS charging.

Weaknesses

  • Usable capacity is disputed: this record uses 388 kWh, while another compilation gives 420 kWh for the same generation.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No public list price was ever published for the first-generation eActros; quoted through dealers only. No dealer listing with a price was found during research.

Poland

Available in Poland

Was offered through the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Polska network during its production run (2021-2025). No specific Polish delivery was confirmed during research. Superseded by the second-generation eActros 400 at the end of 2025.

Recommended chargers

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.

This vehicle charges at up to 160 kW DC — the chargers below are matched to that figure.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

Kept as a separate record from the second-generation eActros 400 (slug mercedes-benz-eactros-400) because they share only a name: this one has four 112 kWh NMC packs (448 kWh installed, approx. 97 kWh usable each = 388 kWh), 330/400 kW and 160 kW charging, while the 2025 car has two 207 kWh LFP packs (414 kWh), 400/600 kW and 400 kW charging. CONFLICT: batterydesign.net lists 420 kWh usable (105 kWh/pack) against the manufacturer-derived 388 kWh used here. Discontinued end of 2025 per the 30.09.2025 Mercedes-Benz Trucks press release announcing the eActros 600-platform replacement. Image caveat: Daimler's press library does not visually distinguish the eActros 300 from the 400 - the difference is one internal battery pack - so the images here are generic first-generation eActros press shots and are shared with the eActros 300 record. No dedicated clean profile or rear shot of a first-generation eActros 400 was found; profile shots in the eActros 300 record show the same body/chassis. gvwKg 27,000 applies to the 6x2 rigid; the 4x2 tractor is rated to 40 t GCW. torqueNm not published.
