The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
160 kW of charging is this generation's bottleneck: the vehicle comes back to base and sits, because there is no way to refill it quickly on the road. It was replaced by the generation on the eActros 600 platform, which charges at 400 kW. As used distribution equipment it still makes sense, provided the duty cycle ends at the depot.
Strengths
- A 300 km range and 160 kW CCS charging give the first-generation eActros a complete starting point.
Weaknesses
- 160 kW of charging ties this vehicle to the depot.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No public list price was ever published for the first-generation eActros; Mercedes-Benz Trucks quoted only through dealers. No dealer listing with a price was found during research.
Poland
Available in Poland
Was offered through the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Polska network during its production run (2021-2025). No specific Polish delivery was confirmed during research. Production ended at the end of 2025 and the Polish MB Trucks site now lists only the second-generation eActros 400 / 600.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
First-generation eActros (world premiere June 2021, start of production at Woerth 07.10.2021, orderable from 01.10.2021). Three CB400 battery packs of 112 kWh installed each = 336 kWh; Mercedes quotes approx. 97 kWh usable per pack, hence 291 kWh usable recorded here. CONFLICT: batterydesign.net lists 315 kWh usable for the eActros 300 (i.e. 105 kWh/pack) - the manufacturer-derived 291 kWh is used. Drive: Mercedes electric rigid axle with two liquid-cooled motors and a two-speed transmission, 330 kW continuous / 400 kW peak - shared with the eActros 400 and the eEconic. Chemistry is NMC, unlike the LFP second generation. Offered as a 4x2 semitrailer tractor (up to 40 t GCW) and as 6x2 rigid platform/box chassis (27 t GVW); the 6x2 rigid was also run at 40 t gross train weight with a drawbar trailer. Cab: the existing Actros ClassicSpace/StreamSpace - no ProCabin. Discontinued: Mercedes-Benz Trucks confirmed in the 30.09.2025 eActros 400 press release that it would stop producing the first-generation eActros 300/400 by the end of 2025, replaced by the eActros 600-platform models. The eEconic (same 336 kWh / 330 kW hardware) continues. Image caveat: Daimler's press images do not visually distinguish the eActros 300 from the eActros 400 - the packs are internal. The images used here come from the eActros 300 6x2 40 t drawbar release and the general eActros SOP release. torqueNm left null: Mercedes did not publish a motor torque figure for this generation.
