The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

That figure is for a 6x2 chassis with no semitrailer; as a 4x2 tractor the same vehicle covers 570 km, and that is the number a haulier should read. Its 750 kW MCS is a series installation here, not a prototype. Price on request only.

Strengths

  • 750 kW MCS available in series production.

Weaknesses

  • The headline 830 km is for a chassis, not for a tractor with a semitrailer.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No list price published; MAN quotes on request only. Polish trade survey: PLN 1.7-2.2 m net for eTGX/eTGS. NFOSiGW grant up to PLN 750k per N3 vehicle; operating leasing PLN 22-35k/month net over 60 months.

Available in Poland

Sold by MAN Trucks Polska on the same eTruck programme as the eTGX; Polish trade pricing surveys quote eTGX and eTGS together. Austria's municipal framework contract for 45 vehicles shows the vocational configurations are in volume production.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

The eTGS is the same eTruck platform as the eTGX with the narrower TG cab range (TM / TN / NN) and vocational bodies; MAN sells it for distribution, construction, municipal, tanker and refrigerated work, and also as a 4x2 semitrailer tractor. Battery/charging/power figures are shared with the eTGX; the eTGS 6x2 chassis is the variant that carries the seven-pack 623 kWh gross / 560 kWh net option. 4x2 chassis 240-480 kWh net, 4x2 semitrailer 320-480 kWh net, 6x2 chassis 240-560 kWh net. The 830 km headline is MAN's own maximum for the 6x2 chassis and reflects an unladen/optimal-conditions calculation - it is far above what a loaded distribution rigid will see. rangeBasis carries the per-pack ladder for a realistic comparison. GVW up to 28 t (6x2) / 20 t (4x2 chassis); GCW up to 50 t. Series production from June 2025 in Munich; MCS-equipped series production from 30 July 2026. An April 2024 launch extended the eTruck chassis range to 18-28 t.
