The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

MAN raised the claimed range from 235 km to 310 km on the same battery, which is a change in how it is measured, not in the hardware. 250 kW of charging is a lot for a 12-tonner — this one refills faster than it can be unloaded. Sold through MAN Trucks Polska.

Strengths

  • 250 kW of charging is generous for a 12-tonne chassis.

Weaknesses

  • The current 310 km range differs from the 235 km launch figure, so the published values do not share one clearly stated basis.

Measurement basis
MAN's current model page states up to 310 km single range; the September 2024 launch release quoted up to 235 km on the same two-pack 160 kWh usable battery. The higher figure appears to reflect a later homologation or a lighter reference body - treat 235 km as the conservative launch figure.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No list price published; MAN quotes on request. The Polish market survey covers only the heavy eTGX/eTGS, not the eTGL.

Poland

Available in Poland

Part of MAN's 12-50 t eTruck portfolio sold through MAN Trucks Polska; the Polish MAN electric-truck model overview lists the eTGL. No Poland-specific delivery or price has been publicised.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

N2 CLASSIFICATION: at 12,000 kg GVW the eTGL sits exactly at the top of EU category N2 (over 3.5 t up to and including 12 t), so it is the only sub-N3 vehicle in this group. It was included on the brief's 'eTGL if it qualifies as N2+' instruction. World premiere at IAA Transportation, September 2024; sales opened April 2025; production from 2025. Battery: two packs, 160 kWh usable. Gross capacity not published. If MAN's 80 kWh-net pack is used, gross would be about 178 kWh, but that is inference and is not recorded. Drive: electric motor plus two-speed gearbox driving the rear axle, 210 kW (285 hp). Torque is not published. Body: 4,500 mm wheelbase with 6,200-7,300 mm body lengths (lightweight curtainside and dry-freight bodies); payload up to 6,600 kg depending on body. 12.3-inch digital display in the day cab. RANGE CONFLICT: 235 km at launch vs 310 km on MAN's current page - flagged above and in rangeBasis.
