The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

The same battery as in the T380E gives a clearly shorter route here — 322 instead of 451 km — because the vehicle is heavier and works in a 6x4 layout. It is the best illustration in this database that capacity says nothing without mass. Orders open, production from 2026.

Strengths

  • A 322 km range and 350 kW charging make a concrete Class 8 configuration for regional work.

Weaknesses

  • The T480E remains pre-production without a confirmed delivery, so 322 km is still a plan figure rather than a fleet result.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No published MSRP; too new for an HVIP catalogue entry at time of research.

Poland

n/a - North American model, not sold in the EU.

Charging infrastructure

Recommended chargers

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.

This vehicle charges at up to 350 kW DC — the chargers below are matched to that figure.

Research notes

Announced 9 December 2025; orders open, production from 2026. Class 8 with 66,000-82,000 lb GCWR (29,937-37,195 kg) - gcwKg records the 82,000 lb upper figure. Truck or tractor, two or three battery strings (250 or 375 kWh usable), eMotor ratings up to 350 kW with 1,850 lb-ft (2,508 Nm), up to 200 miles. Applications: heavier pickup and delivery, drayage, utility and select vocational. This is the closest thing Kenworth has to a heavy vocational BEV besides the T880E - there is no battery-electric C500, and the C500 itself is being sunset in 2026 in favour of the diesel C580. Status pre-production - no delivery confirmation found.
