The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
Kenworth removed the model page and both launch press releases, and the vehicle is no longer in California's HVIP catalogue — three independent signals of withdrawal, stronger than any statement. We found not a single verified photograph. The entry exists for historical completeness.
Strengths
- A 141 kWh battery gives up to 161 km of range, while a recharge by the end of the shift can take about an hour.
Weaknesses
- The model is discontinued and has disappeared from Kenworth’s current lineup, so its value is now mainly historical.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
GAP: no verified reference images. Kenworth has removed the K270E/K370E product page (kenworth.com/trucks/k270e-k370e/ now 404s and only the diesel /trucks/k270-k370/ remains), removed the launch press releases, and the models are gone from the California HVIP catalogue. The images still on kenworth.com under the K270/K370 page are the diesel trucks, so they were deliberately not used here. Status: recorded as discontinued on that evidence plus Kenworth's December 2025 launch of the conventional-cab T280E/T380E covering the same duty cycle - Kenworth has published no formal discontinuation notice. Specification from trade press covering the September 2020 order opening: Class 6 cabover, battery packs of 141 kWh and 282 kWh across the K270E/K370E pair for up to 100 and 200 miles, DC fast charge in as little as one hour, two direct-drive motors rated 355 hp and 469 hp offered across the pair (Kenworth did not publish which rating goes with which model, so motor power is left null - the sister Peterbilt 220EV lists Class 6 at 208 hp/155 kW continuous and 355 hp/265 kW peak), wheelbases 206, 218 and 274 in for 24, 26 and 30 ft box bodies. GVWR not confirmed from a primary source so left null; the K270E is a Class 6 truck (nominally up to 26,000 lb) - vehicleClass is recorded as 'Class 7' only because the schema enum has no Class 6 value. modelYearFrom 2021 reflects orders opening in September 2020 with deliveries from 2021; treat as MEDIUM.
