The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
The company named uncertainty over California's HVIP vouchers as the reason customers held back orders — a rare case of a manufacturer admitting outright that its business model depended on subsidy. No verified technical data was ever published. The entry stays in the database as a warning, not an offer.
Strengths
- A single 200 kW fuel-cell stack gives this programme a defined starting point despite the absence of a published range figure.
Weaknesses
- The manufacturer does not exist — no service and no parts.

Battery and charging
- On charging
- Hydrogen fuel cell truck, not a plug-in. Single-stack 200 kW HyMax fuel cell system built in Bolingbrook, Illinois, which Hyzon claimed gave about 20% more range per kilogram of hydrogen than a 120 kW system, with roughly 30% less volume and weight and 25% lower cost than twin 120 kW stacks. Hydrogen storage capacity and buffer battery size were never published.

This is a hydrogen vehicle — the figure describes range on one tank fill, not on a battery, and is not comparable with battery-electric range.
These are manufacturer-published figures gathered through EvCompass research.
Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No public price. Hyzon cited uncertainty over California HVIP voucher availability as a reason customers held off buying, which implies the truck was economically dependent on the fuel cell voucher (USD 240,000 class), but no MSRP was published.
Poland
Not available in Poland
n/a - Hyzon withdrew from Europe in July 2024 and the company no longer exists. Hyzon did previously run European demonstrations with DB Schenker and Mpreis, but never in Poland.
Charging infrastructure
Recommended chargers
Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 350 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
FLAGGED AS FCEV - hydrogen fuel cell, not battery-electric. COMPANY STATUS: defunct. Timeline - 7 July 2024 Hyzon wound down its Netherlands and Australia operations, citing reduced European and Australian hydrogen support; 19 December 2024 the board voted to dissolve absent rescue funding; 20 December 2024 WARN Act notices were issued; 4 February 2025 CEO Parker Meeks stepped down; 13 February 2025 shareholders voted to dissolve; 18 February 2025 Hyzon officially ceased operations - almost exactly four years after promising 40,000 trucks in 2025. Assets were transferred through an assignment for the benefit of creditors and a final asset sale was approved. PRODUCT: Hyzon did not build its own glider. The Class 8 tractor was a Freightliner Cascadia (Daimler Truck) converted at Fontaine Modification's Charlotte, North Carolina facility. Series production of the Class 8 tractor started September 2024; 200 kW fuel cell system production started October 2024 in Bolingbrook, Illinois, with capacity for up to 700 systems a year on three shifts. Only a handful of deliveries are documented, including four trucks to Performance Food Group's Vistar facility in Fontana, California in December 2023. A hydrogen refuse collection vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz Econic was in customer trials when the company folded. Range, hydrogen capacity, buffer battery and motor outputs were never published in a form worth recording - left null rather than guessed.
