The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
The eCity is a conversion of a DAF LF or Mercedes-Benz Atego chassis, 12,000-18,000 kg GVW — the brochure promises 160-300 km from a 130-250 kWh pack and 250 kW of power, but GINAF Durable's current price list now says 110-280 km, 120-240 kWh and 280 kW for the same E2112-E2121 series, so the two official sources disagree. The onboard AC charger, 22-66 kW, fills a full pack in 2-9 hours. GINAF's own math: at 12 tonnes GVW and 200 km a day, the investment breaks even against diesel in 5-6 years, within a 10-year life and a 6-year battery warranty.
Strengths
- GINAF gives a concrete payback scenario: 5-6 years at 200 km a day against diesel.
Weaknesses
- The brochure and the current price list quote different motor power for the same series — 250 kW versus 280 kW.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No list price published. GINAF quotes per project and states in its EV-Series brochure that a 12 t GVW eCity on a 200 km/day duty reaches break-even against diesel in 5-6 years over a 10-year life, with a 6-year battery warranty.

Polish availability not established
No published Polish dealer or importer; GINAF Durable sells mainly in the Benelux and quotes conversions per project. Left-hand drive, EU whole-vehicle build, so a direct order is not obviously blocked.
Charging infrastructure
Recommended chargers
Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 160 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

Sources and research
Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
RETROFIT / CONVERSION BUILDER. GINAF does not build its own cab or chassis for these: the EV-Series brochure names the donor vehicles explicitly - eCity Series is built on a DAF LF or Mercedes-Benz Atego glider, 12,000-18,000 kg GVW. Driveline is GINAF's own 'DuraDrive' (brochure lists TM 250-D direct drive 250 kW/3,400 Nm, TM 250-2S two-speed 250 kW/3,400-10,200 Nm, TM 350-2S two-speed 350 kW/3,500-10,500 Nm); the current GINAF Durable model table instead quotes a single 280 kW / 3,400 Nm motor across E2112-E2121, so the 250 vs 280 kW figures conflict between brochure (2019) and website (checked 2026-08). Battery boxes 130-250 kWh in the brochure, 120-240 kWh on the current site. Brochure consumption 0.60 kWh/km measured WITHOUT a body fitted, so real-world figures will be higher. GINAF Trucks Nederland B.V. has been majority-owned by China's CHTC group since 2012, which is where much of the EV component supply comes from. Company is trading normally as of Aug 2026 (site copyright 2026, three active divisions: Trucks, Mining, Durable).
