The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

The architecture was unusual for a terminal tractor: a swappable Powerpack energy module instead of a fixed pack, with an HE version on solid-state cells rated to run from -20 to +60 degrees, and the only power figure quoted, 230 kW, is not clearly stated as peak or continuous. The order for 36 APM 75T HE units for Côte d'Ivoire Terminal included 24 Powerpacks and 6 charging stations, and under a 20-year partnership with Australia's Nexport, one unit went to Port of Bell Bay in Tasmania for trials in 2023. A French court ordered Gaussin into liquidation in December 2024, so today any unit would be a used machine with no factory parts or service behind it.

Strengths

  • A modular Powerpack instead of a fixed battery let the electric terminal tractor pair with a swappable energy reserve.

Weaknesses

  • Gaussin was placed into liquidation, so the APM 75T no longer has an operating manufacturer behind its support.

Battery and charging

On charging
Sold as a vehicle-plus-infrastructure package: the Cote d'Ivoire Terminal order comprised 36 APM 75T HE tractors, 24 LMP Powerpacks and 6 charging stations. The 'Powerpack' was a swappable/modular energy module rather than a fixed pack, offered in a Blue Solutions LMP (lithium metal polymer) version and, for the HE 'Hot Environments' variant, a solid-state battery rated to operate from -20 C to +60 C. No charging power figures survive in accessible sources.

Not applicable - terminal tractor, and in any case no range or runtime figure survives in accessible sources now that the manufacturer's site is offline.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No price ever published, and no meaningful price exists now - the company is liquidated.

Poland

Not available in Poland

n/a - the manufacturer no longer exists. Gaussin SA was ordered into liquidation by a French court in December 2024 and gaussin.com no longer resolves (checked 2026-08-28). Any APM 75T in Poland would be a used unit with no factory parts or service channel behind it.

Charging infrastructure

Recommended chargers

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.

This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 150 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

CAUTIONARY RECORD - the manufacturer is dead. Gaussin SA of Hericourt, France was placed under a safeguard procedure by the Vesoul Commercial Court in April 2024; a battle for control followed in May 2024; a French court rejected two rescue offers and ordered liquidation in December 2024. As of 2026-08-28 the domain gaussin.com does not resolve at all, which is the cleanest confirmation available that nothing of the commercial entity remains. The APM 75T was a genuinely distinctive machine: a low, cab-forward electric terminal tractor rated to tow 75 tonnes, built around a modular 'Powerpack' energy module rather than a fixed battery, and offered in Full Elec, hydrogen, HE (Hot Environments, with solid-state cells rated -20 C to +60 C) and Autonomous versions. Deployments on record: Bollore Ports / Abidjan (fully electric units commissioned 2020), and a 36-unit APM 75T HE order from Cote d'Ivoire Terminal with 24 LMP Powerpacks and 6 charging stations. AUSTRALIA/NZ CONNECTION - this is why the record sits in this group. Gaussin and the Australian firm Nexport signed an exclusive 20-year partnership (about EUR 10m) for Nexport to locally assemble Gaussin's zero-emission range - prime movers, airport transporters and refuellers, buses - in Australia and New Zealand, with a planned 16,000 sq m Sydney factory. An APM 75T was built by the Nexport team and delivered in early 2023 to the Port of Bell Bay, Tasmania for trial. Gaussin's liquidation ended that route; Nexport has since been reorganised under GoZero Group. SPEC CAVEAT: the 230 kW figure recorded in motorPowerKwPeak is the power quoted for the APM 75T platform in a source discussing the hydrogen APM H2 75T and stated to apply to the electric version as well. It is not clearly a peak or a continuous rating, and no other powertrain figure - battery kWh, torque, GCW, charging rate - could be recovered now that the manufacturer's site is gone. Everything else is null rather than reconstructed. The '75T' in the name is the towing capacity, 75 tonnes of towed load, not a gross combination weight. Do not record it as GCW.
