The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
We keep this entry separate because the 900 kWh specification and the roughly 160 kWh per 100 km in heavy and oversize transport do not match today's High Cab sheet — the same line, but not the same set of numbers. The Futuricum brand has fallen out of use. For historical comparison, not for ordering.
Strengths
- A 765 kWh usable battery gives 500 km at 40 t GCW, giving the Semi 40E a complete long-haul profile.
Weaknesses
- The 900 kWh gross pack contains only 765 kWh usable, so the large catalogue figure is not all available driving energy.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No list price published.
Poland
Not available in Poland
Never offered in Poland; Swiss and German fleet customers only.
Charging infrastructure
Recommended chargers
Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 375 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

Research notes

OVERLAP WARNING: the Semi 40E is the historic Futuricum model name for what Designwerk now catalogues as the High Cab tractor. Kept as a separate record because the 900 kWh spec is widely cited and distinct. Build: Volvo FH extended by one metre, four 225 kWh packs = 900 kWh gross, 765 kWh usable, packs weighing 5,440 kg in total, mounted between and behind the cab; payload increased by 2 t versus the standard build; 680 hp (500 kW) system output; ~160 kWh/100 km. Deliveries from October 2021, including the world's first fully electric car transporter for Galliker Transport (built with Kassbohrer). Marked discontinued because the model name has been retired in favour of the High Cab range - the vehicle itself is still buildable.
