The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
That convergence is no accident: Chinese tractor makers buy packs from CATL and build around the same swap standard, so the differences come down to the cab and the service network. The quoted 160.26 Wh/kg is typical of LFP — a cheaper, longer-lived chemistry that is also heavier. The price from a Chinese database was not confirmed with the manufacturer.
Strengths
- Battery swapping takes 3–5 minutes, while the 281.91 kWh pack supports both a charger stop and a rapid exchange.
Weaknesses
- Sources set 49 t of combination weight against 37.97 t of permitted towed mass, so the weight limit is described inconsistently.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No verified guide price for the battery-electric Auman tractor. A Chinese price database quotes CNY 481,200-522,300 for the 'Auman Galaxy' tractor range but that listing does not clearly isolate the pure-electric variants, so it is NOT recorded as this model's price. Foton separately markets an Auman Xinghui 520 hp hybrid tractor from CNY 380,000. Foton's own operating-cost claim for the iBlue: CNY 60 per 100 km cheaper than an equivalent diesel.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
Type approval BJ4259EVPA1. 281.91 kWh CATL LFP pack, energy density 160.26 Wh/kg, Foton FTTB220 motor, 7,130 x 2,490/2,550 x 3,375/3,525 mm, wheelbase 3,300+1,350 mm, max speed 89 km/h, 295/80R22.5 tyres, 2-seat cab. Foton quotes 49 t gross weight at full load for the tractor-trailer combination, which conflicts with the 25 t gross mass / 37.97 t max drawing capacity on the type approval - the 49 t figure is a combination rating from a marketing article. CONFLICT on torque: 2,100 Nm (Foton/chinatrucks) vs 2,500 Nm (The Autopian); manufacturer figure used. Foton also builds an Auman iBlue 8x4 with a 423 kWh CATL pack (dump/tipper) and an 8x4 5.6 m battery-swap tipper with the same 281.91 kWh pack. Foton ranked 5th in Chinese heavy-truck sales in Dec 2025 (5,119 units).
