The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
Designwerk belongs to the Volvo Group and builds on Volvo and Mercedes chassis, so this is not a startup but a specialist converter with a group behind it. A 1000 kWh pack weighs enough that it only makes sense where the load is light or the route exceptionally long — the 730 km is quoted for a chassis without a trailer. The company publishes no prices.
Strengths
- MCS charging at 1140 kW has no equal in this database.
Weaknesses
- The declared 730 km applies to a chassis without a trailer, while the tractor with that pack is quoted at up to 680 km.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
Designwerk publishes no list prices. The only public procurement figure is Basel's CHF ~19 m budget for twelve Collect 26E refuse trucks plus charging infrastructure (see the Collect 26E record).
Poland
Polish availability not established
No Polish dealer found. Designwerk announced a Benelux expansion in August 2023 and sells across DACH and Scandinavia; Poland is not a named market.
Charging infrastructure
Recommended chargers
Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle charges at up to 350 kW DC — the chargers below are matched to that figure.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
Designwerk (Winterthur, CH) is majority-owned by the Volvo Group and builds on Volvo FH/FM/FMX and Mercedes Econic chassis; the trucks are sold under the Futuricum brand. The High Cab is the long-haul/heavy tractor and heavy rigid. Full battery menu: 340 kWh LFP (323 usable) / 375 NMC (324) / 500 NMC (432) / 750 NMC (648) / 1000 NMC (864). Rigid ranges: 750 kWh -> 550 km, 1000 kWh -> 730 km. Tractor ranges: 340 -> 280 km, 375 -> 270, 500 -> 360, 750 -> 510, 1000 -> 680. GVW spans 18-50 t across configurations; the semi-tractor configurations are 40 t GCW. Battery packs weigh 2,488-5,420 kg. '680 hp' (500 kW) is the fleet-wide system output Designwerk quotes; whether that is continuous or peak is not stated, so it is recorded as peak. Axle config left null because 4x2, 6x2 and 6x4 are all offered. Model year 2023 is my inference from the 1000 kWh version's announced first deliveries at end-2023.
