DeepWay (深向科技) Xingchen (星辰) first generation; shown as the 'Xingtu' concept in 2021-22
3,500 trucks delivered by February 2025 and over 100 million kilometres driven — the Xingchen is a rare thing in this group: a Chinese electric truck with real operating scale.

The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
450 kWh and 300 km of range at 49 tonnes is a claim from the 2021-2022 launch, never independently verified and not on a standardised cycle. The variant with a 6-minute battery swap has already been discontinued and superseded by the Xingchen II, leaving the roughly one-hour recharge as the real option. The first export batch reached the United Arab Emirates in September 2024, but the vehicle has no homologation for Poland or the EU.
Strengths
- A 450 kWh battery and 300 km of declared range set a concrete reference point for the first-generation Xingchen.
Weaknesses
- The motor power in the type approval — 80 kW continuous / 180 kW peak — looks low for a 49-tonne combination and may be a per-axle figure rather than a total.

- On charging
- Manufacturer claims a full recharge in about one hour, and battery swap in about six minutes. A 4x2 swap type approval exists on chinatruck.org (深向星辰 4X2 换电式纯电动牵引汽车) but is now flagged 已停售 ('no longer sold'), superseded by Xingchen II.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No Chinese guide price published (chinatruck.org shows 暂无 for the swap 4x2, which is listed as discontinued). Thai press reported the DeepWay 'Star' 6x4 electric tractor at THB 6.5 million for the ASEAN market - roughly EUR 170,000 at 2026 rates - but that is an export/import price for Thailand, not a Chinese guide price, and it is the only figure found.

Not available in Poland
n/a - not sold or homologated in the EU. First export batch went to the UAE (ATOMIX, a TruKKer subsidiary) in September 2024.

Chargers matched to the vehicle's published power or to a clearly stated duty profile when that figure is missing.
This vehicle does not publish its own DC charging power. The chargers below are matched to a charging profile typical for this class of vehicle (around 375 kW), not to a figure this vehicle publishes.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
NAMING: English coverage from 2021-22 (Carscoops, CnEVPost, PR Newswire) calls the truck 'Xingtu'; DeepWay's own site sells the production truck as 深向星辰 (Xingchen) and now uses 星途 (Xingtu) for a separate, lighter economy model with a 3,800 mm wheelbase and a 10 t lightweight kit. This record covers the original Baidu-backed heavy tractor, whatever the transliteration. Launch specs: 450 kWh pack, 300 km at 49 t, Cd 0.35, 11 cameras + 1 infrared + 5 mm-wave radars + LiDAR, Baidu Highway Intelligence System, L3 on freight corridors with L4 targeted 2024-2026, Pininfarina-designed cab. Mass-production delivery began May 2023; 3,500 trucks cumulatively delivered by February 2025 with over 100 million km run and 110 service stations. The motor figures (80 kW rated / 180 kW peak, Hangzhou CRRC Times PMSM) come from the 4x2 swap type approval on chinatruck.org and look low for a 49 t tractor - they may be a per-motor or per-axle rating; treat with caution. Confidence LOW-MEDIUM: launch claims are manufacturer figures never independently tested, and the type approval conflicts with them.
