Dayun (大运汽车) E8 heavy truck BEV 25 t 6x4 tractor (CGC4250BEV1Z2)

The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
The Prestolite motor delivers 250 kW continuous, 350 kW peak and 3,500 Nm, with a top speed of 90 km/h — figures typical of a Chinese regional tractor. A lighter 4x2 sibling on the same platform carries a 234.15 kWh pack and 157 km of range at 18 tonnes GVW. An earlier type approval for the same model quoted a different pack — 236.7 kWh and 140 km of range with a 30-minute fast charge — so the figures vary depending on the approval's vintage.
Strengths
- Peak power of 350 kW and 3,500 Nm of torque give the 25 t tractor a clearly defined drivetrain profile.
Weaknesses
- The manufacturer does not publish a price for the E8 BEV.

Battery and charging
- Gross battery
- 374.65 kWh
- On charging
- DC fast charging; an earlier 236.7 kWh E8 was quoted at 30 minutes on a fast charger. Dayun also offers a swap-capable heavy tractor (see researchNotes on the N8V) with a reported 6-minute exchange, but the E8 type approvals recorded here are charge models.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
No guide price published (chinatruck.org lists the E8 BEV without a price).

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
Type approval CGC4250BEV1Z2 (chinatruck.org): built in Chengdu, wheelbase 3300+1350 mm, 6.835 x 2.5 x 2.98 m, max towed mass 36,925 kg, top speed 90 km/h, Prestolite TZ488XSPE352WH PMSM 250 kW rated / 350 kW peak / 3500 Nm, CATL LFP 374.65 kWh, 205 km laden range, front axle 7,000 kg, rear bogie 18,000 kg, 3 seats. The 4x2 sibling CGC4180BEV1Z1 is 18 t GVW, 234.15 kWh, 215 kW rated / 350 kW peak, 157 km laden range, 33,405 kg towed, wheelbase 3600 mm. CONFLICTING EARLIER SPEC: chinatrucks.org carries an older E8 6x4 listing at 236.7 kWh CATL LFP with a Prestolite motor of roughly 250 kW, 3500 Nm, 90 km/h top speed, 140 km range and 30-minute fast charge - an earlier build of the same model, not a different truck. SEPARATE MODEL: The Autopian reports a 'Dayun N8V BEV' 6x4 with a 282 kWh CATL pack, 360 kW of dual motors, 170 km range, a 1-hour dual-gun recharge and a 6-minute swap option. The N8V is otherwise marketed by Dayun as an 8x4 dump truck, and I could not find a type approval for an N8V electric tractor, so it is recorded here as a note rather than a separate record. Confidence MEDIUM on the E8 type-approval block, LOW on anything N8V.
