The EvCompass verdict
The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.
The driveline came from VDL rather than from PACCAR, and that explains why the next generation of XB, XD and XF looks entirely different: DAF moved from a bought-in system to its own. A 220 km range sold only into subsidised pilot fleets in the Netherlands and Germany. Discontinued.
Strengths
- 250 kW charging replenishes the energy in 75 minutes, giving the CF Electric a clearly specified stop rhythm.
Weaknesses
- The 220 km single-charge range reaches 500 km per day only with opportunity charging during work, so the result depends on a stop en route.

- manufacturer, up to 220 km on a full charge (2020 extended-range version). DAF added that with opportunity charging during loading/unloading and the driver's break up to 500 km/day was achievable. The original 2018 CF Electric managed roughly half this range.

Price and availability
What it costs and whether it is available in Poland
Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.
The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.
In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.
Never publicly list-priced; sold in small series, largely into subsidised Dutch and German pilot fleets.
Poland
Polish availability not established
No evidence found of Polish CF Electric deliveries; the model was built in small numbers, mostly for Dutch, Belgian, German and UK fleets, and has been replaced by the XD/XF Electric which DAF Trucks Polska does sell.

Research notes
The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.
This is DAF's first-generation electric truck, co-developed with VDL Groep (VDL E-Power drivetrain), not a PACCAR in-house design. Two generations: the 2018 launch version (field tests from 2018, roughly 100 km range) and the September 2020 'extended range' version recorded here. Extended-range specification per DAF's own table: 4x2 FT tractor - 380 cm wheelbase, 9,000 kg kerb weight, 210 kW / 2,000 Nm motor, 350 kWh gross (315 kWh effective) battery, up to 220 km, 75 min quick charge at 250 kW, 37 t GCW. 6x2 FAN rigid with steered trailing axle - 380/420/460/480 cm wheelbases, 10,200 kg kerb weight, same driveline, 28 t GVW. The new battery generation cut 700 kg of weight versus the 2018 truck. On sale September 2020 with deliveries from early 2021. Battery chemistry not published by DAF (the packs were supplied through VDL, not DAF's later in-house LFP) so batteryChemistry is null. Superseded by the XD/XF Electric; no formal DAF discontinuation announcement was found, but the CF is no longer in DAF's range or brochures. gvwKg here is the 6x2 rigid figure; gcwKg is the 4x2 tractor figure.
