Autocar E-ACTT

210 kWh of battery and up to 22 hours of duty cycle on one charge — the E-ACTT measures endurance in shift-hours, not kilometres, because it is a terminal tractor.

The EvCompass verdict

The key arguments drawn from the published data and the EvCompass editorial summary.

150 kW of charging brings the battery to 90% in about 2 hours, and the opportunity mode adds 10-50% in 35 minutes — the vehicle returns to work faster than the 210 kWh alone would suggest. Autocar claims 85% parts commonality with the diesel ACTT, the practical reason a fleet can adopt it without rebuilding its service operation. California's HVIP voucher, worth 90,000 dollars, implies a price well above that, but the manufacturer publishes no list, and the vehicle has no homologation for Poland or the EU.

Strengths

  • Opportunity charging refills 10-50% of the battery in 35 minutes, so a short break is enough to get back to work.

Weaknesses

  • Autocar does not publish a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) for the E-ACTT.

Measurement basis
Not applicable - Autocar publishes duty cycle, not range: up to a 22-hour duty cycle on a single charge. That is the metric that matters for a yard truck, and it is why Autocar markets the E-ACTT as a like-for-like replacement for its diesel ACTT rather than as a range-limited EV.

These are manufacturer-published figures gathered through EvCompass research.

Price and availability

What it costs and whether it is available in Poland

Published price evidence and the Polish availability answer, kept together for a buying decision.

The manufacturer publishes no price for this vehicle.

In heavy transport that is the rule rather than the exception — makers quote on request.

No public list price - Autocar quotes through its dealer network and offers a TCO calculator rather than a sticker. The nearest hard public number is the incentive: the E-ACTT 4x2, MY2025/2026 in both Off-Road and On-Road versions with the 210 kWh pack, qualifies for a USD 90,000 California HVIP voucher, which implies a purchase price well above that. Separately, California's CORE programme removed all terminal tractors from its voucher catalogue on 7 July 2025 on the explicit grounds that the category had 'graduated' through strong commercial success and robust product availability.

Poland

Not available in Poland

Not offered in PL and not homologated for the EU. The E-ACTT is hand-built in the USA (Hagerstown, Indiana / Birmingham, Alabama), rated in pounds, fitted with a CCS Type 1 inlet, and sold exclusively through Autocar's North American dealer network (Rush Truck Centers, Eagle Mark 4, Glasvan Great Dane and others). n/a for Poland.

Research notes

The sources and research notes behind the figures, claims and editorial assessment.

The best-documented vehicle in this group - Autocar publishes a full datasheet, which almost no terminal-tractor maker does. Driveline: single-speed electric motor, no transmission, 150 kW (200 hp) continuous; torque 4,500 Nm peak / 2,170 Nm nominal (3,320 / 1,600 lb-ft); maximum wheel torque 31,650 Nm (22,600 lb-ft) on the 7.17:1 rear axle. Energy storage 210 kWh installed, liquid heated/cooled, 650 V max / 610 V nominal. Top speed up to 40 mph, with electronic stability control required above 33 mph. Yard-specific specifications that matter more than range: fifth wheel is a SAF/Holland semi-oscillating unit with a 16-inch lift, offered in 80,000 lb or 100,000 lb ratings; two 5-inch hydraulic lift cylinders of 50,000 lb capacity, with limited-lift-height cylinders available; 15-gallon steel hydraulic tank; wheelbase 122 or 128 inches. Front axle Meritor MFS wide track (14,700 lb); rear axle Meritor RS23-186 single reduction (7.17:1) or RS30-380 double reduction (10.62:1). GCWR is NOT published by Autocar for the E-ACTT - the datasheet gives axle and fifth-wheel ratings but no gross combination weight. Recorded as null. Do not back-calculate it from the fifth-wheel plate rating. Autocar's commercial pitch is 85 % parts commonality with the diesel ACTT, which is the practical reason a fleet can adopt it without rebuilding its parts and service operation. Customers on record: Old Dominion Freight Line (first delivery, Rialto CA, with on-site operator orientation), Walmart and Stater Bros. Markets. modelYearFrom 2022 is APPROXIMATE and should be checked by an editor: Autocar unveiled the E-ACTT publicly around 2021, the brochure on file is dated 24 April 2023, and California HVIP currently lists MY2025/2026 units. The exact first series-production year is not stated in any source found. Battery chemistry is not published - recorded as null, not guessed.
