Kia EV3, a compact electric SUV with up to 605 km (WLTP) of range, has reached the Car of the Year 2025 final. Explore its technology, dimensions and everyday practicality.

The Kia EV3, a compact electric SUV, is gaining recognition for its impressive range of up to 605 km (WLTP) and the versatility that makes it an ideal choice as a family's only car. The Kia brand continues its success, once again reaching the finalist circle of the prestigious Car of the Year award. Over the last eight editions, as many as six Kia models have reached the final, including the winning EV6 in 2022.
The Kia EV3 stands out with a segment-leading range that reaches up to 773 km (WLTP) in the city cycle. Thanks to fast-charging technology supporting up to 400 V, the EV3 is an excellent choice for long journeys. It takes just 29 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80%, and after only 15 minutes of charging the range increases by an impressive 202 km. Drivers can use the Kia Charge app, which provides access to more than 800,000 charging points across 28 European countries, making day-to-day electric driving significantly easier.
The EV3 design is built on the philosophy “Opposites United”, which translates into a harmonious look for both the interior and the exterior. With a length of 4.30 m and a wheelbase of 2.68 m, the cabin offers space comparable to a living room at home. The 460-litre boot with a movable floor and an additional 25-litre front storage compartment make the EV3 an exceptionally practical everyday car.
“Kia once again shows that a modern electric car can be affordable, versatile and functional enough to meet the needs of an entire family,” says Marc Hedrich, President of Kia Europe. “The EV3 is proof of our vision for the future, in which electromobility becomes accessible to everyone. We are proud that our models regularly feature among the Car of the Year finalists and even win the main awards”.
The jury comprises 60 automotive journalists from 23 countries, including two Polish members – Roman Popkiewicz and Maciej Ziemek. The winner of the Car of the Year 2025 will be announced on 10 January at the Brussels Motor Show.
The Kia EV3 is a vehicle that combines innovation, efficiency and comfort, proving that the future of motoring is fully electric. It is a versatile car that deserves its place among the best in its segment.
