Ford Mustang Mach-E 2026 Premium: electric muscle car from 195k PLN – US hit, niche choice in Poland
Ford Mustang Mach-E 2026 Premium: 50k units sold in the US, under 200 registrations in Poland per PSPA in 2025. Driveaway price from 195k PLN, 88 kWh battery, 600 km WLTP range. Compared with Tesla Model Y, Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E 2026 Premium is an electric muscle car that sold 50,000 units in the US, while in Poland it stayed below 200 registrations according to PSPA in 2025. What is wrong with this electric Mustang? After price cuts and a facelift, can the Mach-E finally chase the Tesla Model Y?
Price shock: driveaway below 200k PLN
According to IBRM Samar estimates, Ford Australia slashed prices hard – Select RWD at 159k PLN, Premium RWD at 195k PLN driveaway, GT at 230k PLN. Below the luxury car tax threshold! In Poland, realistic estimates put the Premium from 194,900 PLN after discount. Compare with rivals: Tesla Model Y LR AWD 185k PLN, BYD Sealion 7 about 165k PLN, Kia EV6 198k PLN, Hyundai Ioniq 5 197k PLN (2026 data). The Mach-E positions itself as a premium EV without the Ford badge – only the galloping pony! Electric cars are gaining popularity in Poland.
Current Poland 2026 comparison
Equipment: Bang & Olufsen, glass roof, but no ventilated seats and no charging cable
15.5-inch screen, synthetic leather with red stitching, heated seats and steering wheel, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate. In the Polish cold, a glass roof without a sunshade turns into a sauna in summer and a sauna in winter. No charging cable (like Tesla) and no spare wheel – a typical EV fail. The frunk shrinks to 49 l because of the heat pump. But the B&O audio sounds like an orchestra! Ford Mustang Mach-E is not just power, it is also comfort.
Technical specs: 88 kWh, 600 km WLTP, about 500 km real-world
According to Australian tests (775 km trip): 17 kWh/100 km – thirstier than the Model Y (15.3). NMC 88 kWh battery (not LFP like the Select 73 kWh/470 km), 212 kW/525 Nm RWD. AC charging 11 kW, DC 150 kW. Heat pump is a plus in the Polish winter. PSPA estimates Mach-E TCO about 10% higher than Chinese rivals because of the battery.
Driving: a drifting tractor with personality and Untamed mode
“It is not a Mustang, it is a washing machine on steroids!” But seriously – in Untamed mode the tail is happy, drift on a roundabout like in Fast & Furious. 2 tonnes, yet the suspension swallows bumps and the insulation is top. It is not as bonkers as the GT (434 kW), but it carries muscle-car DNA: fake V8 burble and RWD fun. Daily use? Smooth, and it does not make you queasy like the one-pedal drive in Chinese EVs.
Interior: spacious, but cup holders for flies
Soft seats, USB ports everywhere, small digital cluster with nice details. Rear bench is OK despite the roof slope, 402 l boot plus underfloor storage. Downsides: touch-based climate controls, gear selector indicator, button-operated doors.
Verdict: revolution or hype? Buy the Select, not the Premium
A nice daily with fun, but too expensive versus Chinese hits. 7/10 – lovely to live with, but the value killer is the Select at 159k. Do Poles prefer cheaper EVs with the Moj Elektryk subsidy? Mach-E: for Mustang fans, not for tight wallets. Share if you think Ford has slept through the Polish EV boom.
FAQ (frequently asked questions)
Is the Ford Mustang Mach-E cheaper to run than the Tesla Model Y?
The Mustang Mach-E Premium RWD uses about 17 kWh/100 km in tests, while the Tesla Model Y reaches 15.3 kWh/100 km. At 0.80 PLN/kWh on public chargers, the Mach-E costs 13.60 PLN per 100 km vs 12.24 PLN in the Tesla. Annual energy costs at 15,000 km come to 2,040 PLN for the Mach-E and 1,836 PLN for the Model Y – a 204 PLN difference. However, the Mach-E comes with a heat pump as standard, which lowers winter consumption by 10–15% compared with older Tesli without this feature.
What are the main differences between the Select and Premium Ford Mustang Mach-E?
The Select RWD at 159,000 PLN has a 73 kWh battery and 470 km WLTP range, while the Premium RWD at 195,000 PLN offers 88 kWh and 600 km of range. The Premium additionally adds: Bang & Olufsen audio (10 speakers instead of 6), leather seats with electric adjustment, panoramic glass roof, front Matrix LED headlights and a 360-degree camera. The 36,000 PLN difference is mainly the battery (+130 km) and audio extras – for most drivers, the Select is the sweet spot for value for money.
Does the Mustang Mach-E qualify for the Moj Elektryk program in 2026?
No, no Mach-E version meets the price criterion of the Moj Elektryk program, which requires a maximum price of 225,000 PLN gross for new cars. The Select RWD at 159,000 PLN would theoretically fit, but PSPA forecasts that the NFOŚiGW subsidy in 2026 will be limited to vehicles produced in the EU or with at least 50% European components. The Mach-E built in Mexico (Cuautitlán plant) will most likely fail this test. Alternatives: business leasing with depreciation, or wait for further Ford price cuts.
What are the real servicing costs of the Ford Mustang Mach-E in Poland?
Ford offers a 5-year or 100,000 km service package for about 2,500 PLN (data from authorised service network). A typical service every 30,000 km costs 450–600 PLN and includes: cabin filter replacement, brake fluid change every 2 years (380 PLN), battery diagnostics and software updates. 19″ tyres (235/55 R19) cost 3,200–4,000 PLN for a premium set (Michelin Pilot Sport EV). Brake pads, thanks to regeneration, last 80–100k km. Warranty: 5 years/100,000 km on the car, 8 years/160,000 km on the battery – better than most Chinese brands.
