ENSTO

Chago wallbox EVB 100 7.4 kW charging station

PLN 12,381.18

The Chago Wallbox (EVB series) is a wall-mounted AC charging station from the Finnish manufacturer Ensto, in a single-socket version rated up to 7.4 kW, with adjustable current up to 32 A. The charging outlet has a built-in RCBO breaker — true of every variant of this specific model — so the electrician doesn't need to size a separate residual-current device for the station's circuit. The station has an RFID reader for user authorization and supports dynamic load management, but it has no built-in MID meter, so it isn't suited to legally binding session billing with third parties. Management runs remotely through the Chago Cloud platform over OCPP 1.6, with a choice of two connectivity variants: Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The housing is rated IP54 and IK10, with a stated operating range of -30 to +50°C, so it tolerates an outdoor installation. The station weighs 10 kg, and the manufacturer backs it with a 2-year warranty.

Independent opinion

The EV Compass opinion

What this device is actually good for, and when something else is worth a look.

This model is the basic, single-socket station in the Chago Wallbox family — a good pick when one charging point up to 7.4 kW and 32 A is enough, and you don't need to bill sessions to third parties. The built-in RCBO in every variant simplifies the installation quote, since the electrician doesn't need to size a separate residual-current device for the station's circuit — but the switchboard still needs headroom for that 32 A. No MID meter means the station suits charging your own car, but not legally binding billing for tenants or customers — for that, the MID-equipped variant is the better choice. Choosing between Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity depends on whether the installation site has a wired network available: Ethernet gives a more stable connection to the Chago Cloud platform, while Wi-Fi simplifies installation without running an extra cable. Remote management over OCPP 1.6 makes sense if you plan to connect the station to a charging-network operator's system; for a single home station it's a feature you may not use, but it costs nothing extra in the base configuration.

Strengths

  • A built-in RCBO breaker in every variant of this model — no separate residual-current device for the electrician to size for the station's circuit.
  • An IP54, IK10 housing rated from -30 to +50°C — suitable for an outdoor installation.
  • Remote management through the Chago Cloud platform over OCPP 1.6, with a choice of Ethernet or Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • An RFID reader for user authorization and support for dynamic load management — useful when the connection has limited spare power capacity.
  • A compact, light build (10 kg), with simple wall mounting.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Does the station have a built-in residual-current device?

Yes — every variant of this model has a built-in RCBO breaker, so no separate protective device needs to be sized in the switchboard.

Does the station have a meter for billing charging sessions?

No — this station has no built-in MID meter, so it isn't suited to legally binding session billing with third parties; the MID-equipped variant in the same Chago EVB line is the better choice for that.

What is the maximum power of this station?

Up to 7.4 kW, at a maximum current of 32 A.

How does the station connect to the management system?

Through the Chago Cloud platform over OCPP 1.6, with a choice of Ethernet or Wi-Fi connectivity depending on the variant.

Can the station be installed outdoors?

Yes — the housing is rated IP54 and IK10, with a stated operating range of -30 to +50°C.

How much does the station weigh and how long is the warranty?

The station weighs 10 kg, and the manufacturer backs it with a 2-year warranty.
