How scores are calculated

EvCompass scoring methodology

Five scores compare published cars available in the catalogue. Every input, its direction and weight comes from the same definition used for the calculations.

Comparison set

Percentiles compare cars that are published and available in the catalogue, so a score depends on the current market mix.

The comparison covers 629 cars available in the catalogue.

Methodology version 1

Percentiles and ties

For a known value, we calculate 100 × (B + (E − 1) / 2) / (N − 1), where B is the number of worse values, E is the number of tied values, and N is the number of cars with a known value. Tied values receive the same percentile.

If only one car has a known value, it receives percentile 50.

Data coverage

Unknown data receives neither points nor a default percentile. We omit it and proportionally rescale the remaining weights; a score is shown from 70% coverage upward.

The City price input and the only Value input use a verified Polish price for the specific version. A model-level starting price does not count as a version price. Value also requires a positive real-world range; we do not use prices converted from abroad.

These are relative EvCompass calculations, not editorial ratings, tests or reviews.
