EV vs petrol
Compare the break-even point of an EV against a comparable combustion car, based on purchase price and energy/fuel cost — an energy-cost comparison, not a full cost of ownership.
How many kilometres you drive in a typical year — this drives the annual energy and fuel cost.
How much of the EV's energy comes from home charging — the rest is priced as public charging, at an indicative DC average.
The real consumption of the specific combustion model you're comparing against — not a catalogue figure, type it in yourself.
An indicative purchase price for the combustion car you're comparing against — enter the price of the specific model.
The NaszEauto programme has been closed to new applications since 30 April 2026; the government says there will be no successor national EV subsidy. People with an already approved application will still receive the money. Enable the subsidy only if your application has already been approved.

Calculator scope
This compares purchase price plus energy and fuel cost under the stated assumptions — it is not a full cost of ownership (TCO) and not financial advice.
Included: the purchase price of both cars, the optional NaszEauto subsidy, and electricity/fuel cost from the annual distance you enter.
Not included: insurance, servicing, tyres, depreciation, or financing costs (loan or lease). Annual costs are held flat — the calculator does not model energy or fuel price inflation.

EV vs petrol FAQ
- What exactly does this calculator compare?
- Only purchase price (with an optional NaszEauto subsidy) plus electricity and fuel cost under the stated assumptions. It excludes insurance, servicing, tyres, depreciation and financing — this is not a full cost of ownership (TCO) and not financial advice.
- Where do the fuel prices come from?
- The Pb95 price comes from current e-petrol.pl quotes and is verified to the grosz. The diesel (ON) price comes from the same source but is marked indicative — ON prices were moving quickly when it was checked.
- Is the NaszEauto subsidy still available?
- The NaszEauto programme has been closed to new applications since 30 April 2026, and there will be no successor national EV subsidy. If your application has already been approved, you will still receive the money — in that case, you can enable the subsidy in this calculator. Otherwise, leave it switched off.
