SEA Electric SEA 500 EV SEA-Drive 250-62
248 kWh i 240 km zasięgu bez ładunku brzmią nieźle, ale SEA Electric już nie istnieje — spółka ogłosiła upadłość w październiku 2025 roku.

Opinia EvCompass
Najważniejsze argumenty wynikające z opublikowanych danych i redakcyjnego podsumowania EvCompass.
Silnik o mocy 440 kW i momencie 6200 Nm napędzał sztywną zabudowę 6x2 o masie całkowitej 22 500 kg, a deklarowany zasięg 240 km dotyczył pojazdu bez ładunku, nie w pracy. SEA Electric wystartowało w Australii w 2021 roku, w styczniu 2024 roku przejęła je kanadyjska Exro Technologies, a 31 października 2025 roku amerykańskie spółki SEA Electric złożyły wniosek o upadłość likwidacyjną w trybie Chapter 7; postępowanie w Albercie trwało jeszcze w lutym 2026 roku.

- Manufacturer, UNLADEN. SEA published a range figure per power-system option, all unladen: SEA-Drive 120-35, 138 kWh, 300 km; SEA-Drive 180-35, 220 kWh, 225 km; SEA-Drive 250-62, 248 kWh, 240 km. The recorded 240 km / 248 kWh pairing is the 250-62, the top published pairing. Note the counter-intuitive ordering - the smallest battery has the longest quoted range because it went in the lightest chassis. A separate 'range-topping' 280 kWh battery was offered on the SEA 500-225 with no published range figure.

W transporcie ciężkim to reguła, nie wyjątek — producenci wyceniają na zapytanie.
No price recoverable. SEA Electric sold through a 15-dealer Australian network at the time of launch but never published list prices, and the company is now defunct.

Niedostępne w Polsce
n/a - the manufacturer no longer exists. SEA Electric's Australian operations were wound down by owner Exro Technologies and its US entities filed Chapter 7 in October 2025; sea-electric.com no longer serves a site (checked 2026-08-28). The SEA 500 was never sold in Europe.

CAUTIONARY RECORD - the manufacturer is gone. Track the corporate chain carefully because it is easy to get wrong: SEA Electric was founded in Australia in 2012 around its own SEA-Drive power system; it launched the SEA 300 EV and SEA 500 EV in March 2021 as Australia's first locally assembled electric trucks, built from OEM semi-knocked-down glider kits and sold through 15 Australian dealerships; it relocated its centre of gravity to the United States; it was acquired by the Canadian firm Exro Technologies in January 2024. Exro then announced an orderly wind-down of the Australia-based subsidiary in its Q1 2025 results and completed the Asia-Pacific wind-down while retaining IP; on 31 October 2025 Exro's US subsidiaries including SEA Electric, Inc. and SEA Electric, LLC filed Chapter 7, and Exro consented to a receiver in Canada under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Court proceedings in Alberta were still running in February 2026. sea-electric.com returns no site as of 2026-08-28. SEA 500 specification as launched: 4x2 or 6x2, GVM 15,000-22,500 kg, maximum body length 9,240 mm. Three SEA-Drive power-system options - 120-35 (138 kWh), 180-35 (220 kWh) and 250-62 (248 kWh) - with maximum torque 3,500 Nm on the two smaller systems and 6,200 Nm on the 250-62, and maximum power 350 kW rising to 440 kW on the 250-62. The top model, the SEA 500-225, is the 6x2 at 22,500 kg GVM and was offered with a range-topping 280 kWh pack. The smaller SEA 300 EV (4.5-8.5 t GVM class) is deliberately NOT given its own record - it falls below the N3 threshold this catalogue covers. SEA also fitted SEA-Drive systems to Hino and Isuzu gliders and worked on Class 8 applications in the US, but no Class 8 SEA-badged production vehicle was confirmed. Battery chemistry, charging power, connector and GCW are all unrecoverable. Image coverage is thin and comes entirely from Australian trade press archives, because the manufacturer's media library went offline with the company. The three verified files show a SEA 500 EV cab-chassis (identifiable by the 'SEA500 EV' number plate) and a SEA-Drive charge port. No rear or side-profile shot could be found.
